Manufacturing Process
Galvanized coil is produced by dipping thin steel plate into melted zinc tanks, creating a protective zinc layer on the surface. Manufactured through continuous galvanizing process where rolled steel plate is continuously dipped in molten zinc plating tanks. Alloyed galvanized steel sheet is created by heating immediately after dipping to approximately 500°C, generating a zinc-iron alloy coating with excellent adhesion and weldability.

Galvanizing Methods
Hot-Dip Galvanizing (HDG)
This technology creates a protective layer by immersing steel strip into molten zinc. Produced via continuous galvanizing lines with non-oxidising annealing furnaces (Sendzimir method) or using wet/dry flux (Cook-Norteman method). The process involves electrochemical cleaning, drying, annealing, zinc immersion, thickness control, forced cooling, and finishing.
Electrolytic Galvanizing
An electro-chemical process applying zinc layer in acid or alkali electrolyte baths. Coating thickness typically 5-12μm, accurately following product shape. The absence of brittle layers makes this coating more plastic than hot-dip galvanizing. Ideal for automotive, transport, and machine building applications.
